Last year FindTheBest was confronted by a mysterious shell company called Lumen View Technology, which wielded a patent on “multilateral decision-making.” Instead of giving in to the patent troll’s $50,000 licensing demand, FindTheBest founder Kevin O’Connor pledged $1 million to fight the troll in court.
Now there are signals that the money might end up flowing in the other direction.
Lumen View and its lawyer Damian Wasserbauer talked a big game, saying that if they weren’t paid quickly, it would result in “full-scale litigation” and “all motion practice as well as protracted discovery.”
