Updated coreutils packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

The coreutils packages contain core GNU utilities, which representsa combination of the old GNU fileutils, sh-utils, and textutilspackages. Shift_JIS (SJIS), is a character encoding for the Japaneselanguage. These packages provide coreutils support for the Shift_JISencoding.This update adds the following enhancement:* Some coreutils commands displayed Shift_JIS-encoded charactersimproperly. The coreutils Shift_JIS packages have been upgraded toversion 8.4 adding in the latest bug fixes and enhancements. Among otherchanges, the coreutils Shift_JIS packages provide a fix ensuring thatthe “printf” command is now able to properly display Shift_JIS-encodedcharacters. (BZ#1072248)All users requiring SJIS encoding support for coreutils should installthese updated packages, which add this enhancement.
