Updated python-pthreading package is now available.
The python-pthreading module provides Lock and Condition synchronization objectscompatible with the Python native threading module. The implementation is basedon the POSIX thread library as delivered by the libpthread and has considerableperformance benefits over Python 2.x’s implementation. Locking helps optimisethe use of shared system resources. All users running VDSM should install this new package, which adds thisenhancement.Changes to the python-pthreading component:* Previously, VDSM would become non-responsive under certain conditions, causinghypervisors to move into a non-responsive state. This was caused by an issue inthe logic regarding allocating locks for threads, which would prevent certainthreads from functioning correctly. Now, the logic for allocating locks forthreads has been revised so that locks can be allocated without issue.(BZ#1085462)
