Updated gfs2-utils packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red HatEnterprise Linux 5.

The gfs2-utils packages contain utilities for creating, checking, modifying, andcorrecting any inconsistencies in GFS2 file systems. This update fixes the following bugs:* Prior to this update, system logs did not log important context of systemevents concerning the running fsck.gfs2 utility. Consequently, users and systemadministrators had difficulties examining the circumstances under which aproblem occurred. With this update, fsck.gfs2 adds an informative message to thesystem logs on its start and exit, which helps in further debugging processesand administrative actions. (BZ#1099592)* Previously, GFS2 metadata dumps returned by the “gfs2_edit savemeta” commandheld no information about the time at which they were created. Without thisinformation, users and system administrators could not easily find out when theGFS2 metadata was saved in relation to file system checks. With this update,”gfs2_edit savemeta” adds a header to the metadata file containing a time stamprelating to the creation of the file. (BZ#1100803)Users of gfs2-utils are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fixthese bugs.
