A cinema trade group representing most UK movie houses is urging the membership to ban Google Glass, and chains are following that advice.
“Customers will be requested not to wear these into cinema auditoriums, whether the film is playing or not,” Phil Clapp, the Cinema Exhibitors’ Association chief executive told The Independent.
The move comes a week after Google introduced Glass to the UK and three weeks following a US chain, Alamo Drafthouse, announcing that it would ban Google glass from its theaters. Google Glass has also been banned at restaurants, strip clubs, and other venues like casinos.
