Updated watchdog packages that fix one bug are now available for Red HatEnterprise Linux 6.

The watchdog packages provide a user-space application which can be configuredto provide updates to a hardware or software watchdog timer via the Linuxkernel’s watchdog interface. This update fixes the following bug:* The previous version of the watchdog utility introduced watchdog-timeoutconfiguration directive with a default value that caused the timeout to be seton start regardless of that directive being provided. Such behavior conflictedwith custom configured hardware watchdog device timeout value via moduleparameters. With this update, watchdog detects absence of the new configurationdirective and no longer reconfigures the device timeout to compiled-in default, and the configuration collision is thus avoided with custom module parameterssuch as ipmi_watchdog timeout. (BZ#1152436)Users of watchdog are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fixthis bug.
