Updated zsh packages that fix two bugs are now available for Red Hat EnterpriseLinux 6.

The zsh shell is a command interpreter usable as an interactive login shell andas a shell script command processor. Zsh resembles the ksh shell (the Kornshell), but includes many enhancements. Zsh supports command-line editing,built-in spelling correction, programmable command completion, shell functions(with autoloading), a history mechanism, and more. This update fixes the following bugs:* Previously, the zsh shell did not correctly check strings containing doublesquare brackets (“[[…]]”). As a consequence, the zsh syntax check failed whentesting scripts that contained these symbols. With this update, zsh checksstrings with double square brackets correctly, and scripts that contain them nolonger fail the testing. (BZ#1148955)* Prior to this update, the malloc() system call in some situations did notcorrectly free the intended array. As a consequence, the current process becameunresponsive but could not be terminated, thus causing a deadlock. This updatefixes the way malloc() handles freeing arrays and the described deadlock nolonger occurs. (BZ#1150381)Users of zsh are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix thesebugs.
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released erratarelevant to your system have been applied. This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how touse the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available athttps://access.redhat.com/articles/11258Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop (v. 6)
