Updated device-mapper packages that fix one bug are now available for Red HatEnterprise Linux 5.

The device-mapper packages provide the dmsetup utility and libdevmapper libraryrequired by logical volume management utilities such as LVM2 and dmraid. This update fixes the following bug:* Previously, when using multiple logical volume (LV) mirrors, a race conditionoccurred between the “vgchange -an” command and the dmeventd monitoring daemon. As a consequence, deactivating a Volume Group (VG) could lead to the device mapsnot being all properly deleted. With this update, the race condition has beenfixed, and the vgchange utility now deletes all the maps successfully.(BZ#1108540)Users of device-mapper are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, whichfix this bug.
