Updated evolution packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red HatEnterprise Linux 7.

Evolution is a GNOME application that provides integrated email, calendar, contact management, and communications functionality. Bugs:* Previously, certain user interactions could cause the Evolution processes tobecome unresponsive and consume a high percentage of CPU. A workaround to avoidthis state has been applied, and a busy loop is no longer triggered in thissituation. (BZ#1091882) * Due to a memory corruption flaw, Evolution terminated unexpectedly after themigration from an mbox inbox to a maildir client. This update ensures that noevents are left in the main loop before freeing migration structures, and as aresult, Evolution runs properly after the migration completes. (BZ#1103823) * Previously, pasting a contact already existing in the target address bookopened a “Merge Contact” dialog window, which then expanded indefinitely withoutthe user interaction. This update changes the widget packing, thus fixing thisbug. (BZ#1033263) * An automatic “mark message as seen” process could fail in certaincases, which caused that a message was not automatically marked after reading. With this update, conditions for this process have been corrected, and readmessages are now marked as intended. (BZ#1070764) * Prior to this update, some memory was not freed properly by the Evolutioncode. This update ensures that Evolution frees all the allocated memoryproperly, and memory leaks thus no longer occur. (BZ#1084414) * When attempting to open a message which did not belong to the current viewfilter, a separate message window closed immediately, was opened empty, or aselected message was not shown. This update makes sure that a selected messagealways belongs to the view filter, thus fixing the bug. (BZ#1090629) * When right-clicking an event in the Calendar view, the event tooltip couldhide the context menu. This update ensures the tooltip is hidden before thecontext menu is shown, and the tooltip thus no longer overlaps the context menu.(BZ#1110370) * Previously, when replying to a message with some text selected in it, theselected text was used as the new message body but any preformatted style orwhitespace characters became lost in the new message. With this update, thepreformatted style and any whitespace characters within are now preserved fromthe selection to the new message. (BZ#1113177) * Prior to this update, the user name had to be specified even if the SimpleMail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server authentication was disabled. As aconsequence, the dialog for creating a new account could not be finished withoutfilling the username, even with the “Server requires authentication” boxunchecked. Now, the state of the dialog is updated as soon as the serverauthentication is disabled, and the dialog can be finished successfully.(BZ#1116938) * Previously, weather calendar internals did not work properly with thelibgweather library. As a consequence, when attempting to use weather calendars,no weather forecast events showed. The underlying source code has been fixed, and the weather calendar events are now shown as intended.(BZ#1122645) * When writing a new header name into the Edit->Preferences->MailPreferences->Headers tab and clicking the “Add” button next to the name,Evolution terminated unexpectedly. A patch has been applied to fix this bug, andEvolution no longer crashes in this scenario. (BZ#1123136) * If a calendar which was enabled and had events in the view was deleted, thewhole calendar was removed, but its events were left in the view. With thisupdate, the events from the view are also removed as expected. (BZ#1170671) * This update also fixes various minor crashes in Evolution. (BZ#1098358,BZ#1166665, BZ#1118996) Users of Evolution are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fixthese bugs. All running instances of Evolution must be restarted for this updateto take effect.
