An updated flannel package that fixes one bug is now available for Red HatEnterprise Linux 7 Extras.
The flannel package contains an etcd-driven address management agent, whichmanages IP addresses of overlay networks between systems running containers thatneed to communicate with one another. This update fixes the following bug:* Previously, if the Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) back end could not createthe VXLAN interface, it immediately terminated the execution of the flanneldaemon. This could happen, for example, if the etcd server was down at the time.As a consequence, the flannel daemon failed to start even if the problem thatprevented the interface from being created was only temporary. With this update, the VXLAN back end repeatedly tries to create the interface again after onesecond. As a result, the flannel daemon is started when it is possible.(BZ#1184579)Users of flannel are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixesthis bug.
