On Monday, reddit CEO Ellen Pao signaled her intent to appeal her recent loss in the high-profile gender discrimination case she brought against venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
In March, a jury found that Kleiner did not discriminate against Pao when it passed her up for promotions while she was a junior partner at the firm. The jury also found that Kleiner did not retaliate against Pao when it fired her after she brought the suit against the firm.
Pao’s spokeswoman confirmed to Ars that the reddit CEO had filed the notice of appeal. The spokeswoman said that Pao did not have any further comments at this time. Pao and her attorneys, Alan Exelrod and Therese Lawless, will have 40 days to submit their grounds for appeal to the court.
