Finally, an iOS keyboard that’s like a lovely cheese pizza, just for you.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first “Home Alone” movie, Twentieth Century Fox Digital Entertainment on Tuesday released the Home Alone GIF Keyboard app so all you phlegm-wads can celebrate the franchise on iOS.
The free app is essentially a keyboard replacement that features all sorts of reaction GIFs from the “Home Alone” movies that you can weave into your tweets and text messages, perhaps when you want to tell friends that you made your family disappear or that you’re reading through all their private stuff and they better come out and pound you.
There are, of course, a lot of pretty awesome reaction GIFs from the “Home Alone” movies that you can use, like the well-known scene where Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin, stands in front of a mirror screaming as he grasps his cheeks, or the scene where Kevin is running around the house frantically celebrating after temporarily defeating Harry and Marv when they try to rob Kevin’s house.
After installing the Home Alone GIF Keyboard, you can use these GIFs and many more basically anywhere you can enter text on your iOS device. CNET got a first look at the app and I had a particularly good time annoying my wife and some friends by sending them GIFs of Harry’s head getting set on fire.
The keyboard app is part of a bigger celebration from Fox of the 25th anniversary of “Home Alone.” The company is also selling a collector’s edition DVD and Blu-Ray set that comes in a paint can and contains all five (yes, they made 5 of these things) “Home Alone” movies, which retails for $50 on Amazon.
All you filthy animals out there can pick up the Home Alone GIF Keyboard for free on the App Store.
