New kmod-ixgbe packages are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
The kmod-ixgbe packages contain a local area network (LAN) driver for theEthernet X552 and X557 controllers on Intel Xeon v4 architectures, whichprovides support for the ixgbe LAN adapter.The PCI IDs supported by this package are:8086:15AC8086:15C28086:15C38086:15C48086:15C68086:15C78086:15CE8086:15D1The kernel modules delivered by this erratum have been made available aspart of the Red Hat Driver Update Program, which provides updated kernelmodules that add support for selected devices in advance of the next RedHat Enterprise Linux minor update release. We strongly recommend thatthese kernel modules be only used when it is necessary to enable thespecific hardware mentioned in this erratum. Partners and customersshould continue to use the driver that is shipped in the latest Red HatEnterprise Linux kernel for all other devices that require this driver.(BZ#1346994)All users who require kmod-ixgbe are advised to install these new packages.
