Updated glusterfs packages that fix one bug is now available for Red Hat GlusterStorage 3.1.
Red Hat Gluster Storage is a software only scale-out storage solution thatprovides flexible and affordable unstructured data storage.
It unifies datastorage and infrastructure, increases performance, and improves availability andmanageability to meet enterprise-level storage challenges. While initializing the glusterd service to regenerate the volfiles, during anupgrade of Red Hat Gluster Storage from 3.0.x to 3.1.x, glusterd fails. Hence, the volfiles are not generated during the upgrade with the latest version.

Thiscan lead to different issues such as brick logs getting flooded with erroneouslog entries or split brain post upgrade. With this update, this issue has beenresolved and the upgrade runs as expected. All users of Red Hat Gluster Storage are advised to apply this update.
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released erratarelevant to your system have been applied. For details on how to apply this update, refer to:https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258Red Hat Gluster Storage Server 3.1 on RHEL-6
