Updated dbus packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat EnterpriseLinux 6.4 Advanced Update Support.
D-Bus is a system for sending messages between applications.
It is used both forthe system-wide message bus service, and as a per-user-login-session messagingfacility. This update fixes the following bug:* Previously, the dbus-daemon service incorrectly handled multiple messagescontaining file descriptors if they were received in a short time period.

As aconsequence, dbus-daemon leaked file descriptors and became unresponsive.

Apatch has been applied to correctly handle multiple file descriptors fromdifferent messages inside dbus-daemon.

As a result, dbus-daemon closes andpasses file descriptors correctly and no longer becomes unresponsive in thedescribed situation. (BZ#1360164)Users of dbus are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix thisbug.

For the update to take effect, all running instances of dbus-daemon and allrunning applications using the libdbus library must be restarted, or the systemrebooted.
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released erratarelevant to your system have been applied. For details on how to apply this update, refer to:https://access.redhat.com/articles/11258Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server AUS (v. 6.4)
