For the first time ever, one of the major web traffic analysis tools has found that Android is more popular than Windows worldwide.

At the same time, Windows 10 is continuing to notch tiny monthly usage share gains, while Edge slipped downward in one tally. The Irish market measuring firm StatCounter just reported that Android has overtaken Windows for first time” worldwide, declaring:
Microsoft no longer owns dominant OS.

Android now world’s most popular operating system in terms of internet usage… the end of Microsoft’s leadership worldwide of the OS market which it has held since the 1980s.  It also represents a major breakthrough for Android which held just 2.4 percent of global internet usage share only five years ago.To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
