Microsoft continues its big push in cloud computing and machine learning.
The preview Docker image has already been fetched 2 million times.
We're already used to the fact that complex cyberattacks use 0-day vulnerabilities, bypassing digital signature checks, virtual file systems, non-standard encryption algorithms and other tricks.
Sometimes, however, all of this may be done in much simpler ways, as was the case in the malicious campaign that we detected a while ago – we named it 'Microcin' after microini, one of the malicious components used in it.

A few weeks ago, Nginx released its multilanguage microservices-friendly app server, but without Java support at launch. Now IBM has a beta build of its own microservices-friendly app server for Java applications: the open sourcenbsp;Open Liberty, which implements IBMrsquo;s version of Java EE and MicroProfile microservices implementation.Open Liberty will provide a runtime supporting Java microservices that can be quickly updated and moved among different cloud environments. Whennbsp;combined with the Eclipse OpenJ9 Java Virtual Machine, OpenLiberty will provide a full Java stack, IBM said. (OpenJ9 had been IBMrsquo;s J9 JVM, which it contributed to the Eclipse Foundation that now manages Java EE.)To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here

MongoDB is a popular, open source, scale-out NoSQL database that provides high throughput for your data-driven applications. Unlikenbsp;relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, which store data in tables according to a rigid schema, MongoDB stores data in documents with flexible schema.

There are many such non-relational databases around including CouchDB, RavenDB, and Couchbase. However, I like MongoDB primarily due to its scalability, speed, and dynamic querying capabilities.MongoDB uses the BSON format under the hood to represent the JSON documents at the heart of the data store.

BSON or “Binary JSONrdquo; is a lightweight and efficient binary-encoded data serialization format that supports fast data traversal and searches.

BSON also allows MongoDB to support data typesmdash;namely int, long, date, floating point, and decimal128mdash;not represented in JSON. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
